It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Professor Azam who passed away on the day of Jumuah after a lifetime of sacrifice and dedication to his Lord and Islam. Inna lillah wa inna ilayhi rajiun.The date is October 23 2014. He is survived by his wife, 6 sons and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. May Allah, the Lord of the worlds, accept him as Shaheed. May his many good deeds and exceptional sacrifices be accepted. May those who oppressed him face justice. May he enter an enlightened grave and the highest paradise. May his wife and family meet him there. Ameen.
We seek your prayers that the family are able to give Prof Azam a dignified burial and to see him and pay their respects. We fear that those who have oppressed him in life will seek to prevent this from happening.
We request all Professor Azam’s well wishers to observe his passing with fortitude, dignity and patience. Professor Azam was a man of peace and love for his Lord. Please grieve as he is worthy of being grieved. We expect the government to respect people’s democratic right to peacefully grieve and protest the injustice that has been subjected on this righteous leader.

যার কারণে তোমার আমার প্রিয় জন —
অজস্র মানব অকাতরে দিতে হয়েছিল তাদের অমূল্য প্রাণ —-
তোমার আমার ঘরের নারীর সম্ভমহানির কারণ ——-
গত ৪৩ বছরের কু রাজনীতিবিদ দের নাটের গুরু —
জানোয়ার ইয়াহিয়া টিক্কার পা চাটা দালাল সেই গো আজমের কোনো ইচ্ছাই এ দেশ পূর্ণ করতে পারে না —
এখনো ৭১ এর রক্তভেজা আমার প্রিয় স্বাধীন দেশে ওই কুলাঙ্গারের ইচ্ছা পূর্ণ হতে দিবে তা মানতে পারা যায় না — অজস্র সুর্যসৈনিকের রক্তভেজা আমার এই প্রিয় স্বাধীন দেশ — আরেকটা দন্ডিত অপরাধী রাহু হতে মুক্তি পেলো —
রক্তভেজা স্বাধীনদেশের মাটিতে শেষ অবস্থা শেয়ালকুকুরে খায় নি — হাসপাতালের সাদা চাদরে নি:শ্বাস ত্যাগ করার সুযোগ পেয়েছে — তাতে তার আর তার পরিবারের সৃষ্টি কর্তার কাছে আর দেশবাসীর কাছে কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করা উচিত —-
তবে হ্যা মনে রাখতে হবে —
উপরওয়ালার ইশারাতেই কারাগারে জীবনের শেষ দিন গুলো আটকে থাকতে হয়েছে —
এবং ঘৃণিত দন্ডিত ব্যক্তি হয়েই দিন শেষ করতে হয়েছে — আর এ দেশের ইতিহাসে সেটাই বাকি কাল লেখা থাকবে —–
আল্লাহ সর্ব শক্তিমান
নিশ্চয়ই তিনিই আরো ভালো জানেন এবং সর্বজ্ঞানী সুবিবেচক

Great man ghulam azam. Love from Pakistan. You were the true believer in the concept of Pakistan. May Allah give Jannah to him and Abdul kader mullah as well
May Allah grant him “Mughfirah”, and “Jannat”; and give the strength to his family to bear the loss. I have one observation though. There should have been just a brief mention of his background; where he died; why and what was the injustice done to him. I am sure there are a lot of people, like me, who did not know too much about him. Jazak Allah.
